You and Your Car
Things You Should Know
Next to your house, your car is probably the biggest investment you have. Taking proper care of it will insure the greatest return on that
investment by performing safely and with dependability. Proper and regular maintenance helps avoid more costly repairs in the future.
Important Facts:
Check Engine Lights - Not necessarily an emergency but a diagnosis needs to be performed at your first convenient
opportunity, providing no noticeable running issues are evident.
Regular Oil Changes are the best investment toward the longevity of your engine. Oil is the life blood of your engine.
Change your oil and filter every 5,000 miles if your car is a 1998 or newer model (synthetic oil) and every 3,000 miles if it's a 1997 or older
(conventional oil).
If you drive only short distances, drive primarily in"stop and go" traffic, drive dusty roads or tow a trailer/boat, you made need to step up a
little sooner on oil changes.
If you don't put many miles on you car, have the filter checked. Today's filters deteriorate so they biodegrade, and you don't want it to
deteriorate in your car.
If it's inconvenient to visit your German car specialist for every oil change, consider buying an extra oil filter and insist that it is used at any
other location that changes your oil. Know what kind of oil your car requires, and verify that the correct type of oil is being used.
The Brake System is your car's most important safety system.....never put off routine brake inspections.
Regular Maintenance also allows us to thoroughly inspect your car and inform you of any anticipated repairs, resolution
and associated expenses.
By following these recommendations, you are insuring that your car will be safe and dependable transportation for you and your family.
